Roxy
Dog :: Maltese mix

ROXY is an energetic 4 year old Maltese mix who is sweet and loveable to everybody that she meets. She loves to play with other dogs large and small. She would do very well in an active home and will definitely need a privacy fence since her curiousity takes over when she sees fun stuff on the other side of the fence. She would love to have a canine friend that likes to play but mostly, she needs a human friend that has plenty of time to spend with her. Roxy loves to cuddle with her person. She has done very well with housebreaking but needs to be reminded of general obedience. Roxy weighs 10 pounds and she's spayed

Colonel Sammy
Dog :: Shih Tzu

This is Colonel Sammy. He is about 7 years old, house trained and feeling better after some very mean people threw him from a car. He loves his humans who are taking care of him and is getting along well with his foster brothers and sisters. He is a Shitzu and weighs about 10 lbs. Because his health is improving he is ready to interview people for his new home.

Buckwheat
Dog :: Aussie mix possibly with Cattle dog

This is Buckwheat. He is approximately 3 yrs old, unneutered male who is as sweet as they come. He is Aussie mix possibly with cattle dog. He is small maybe 35-40 lbs. He loves people and can charm your socks off. Give him a bath and a good diet and this smart dog will will really be a show stopper. His personality is mellow and submissive. He appears to be house trained even though he is outside much of the time. He is good with other dogs and is fine on a leash. His time was up after he was found running but the shelter liked him so much they got him in foster care. Consider adding this handsome little guy as the newest addition to your family.

Blue
Dog :: Catahoula Leopard Dog

This is Blue. He is a neutered Catahoula Leopard Dog. Blue is good with kids and other dogs. He is tall and strong and not good on a leash yet. He is very nice and always smiling. They think he is about 1 year old. We don't know about cats but feel he might eat them!!! He has been kenneled outside and needs some training. Because of his height he can get out of low fencing. We don't know about house training. This guy has been cooped up too long and needs some space to run!!!!! Zelko
Dog :: Husky mix

This is Zelko. He is an unneutered male with a big personality and a great spirit. He really wants to be in the house but his foster mom has to keep him outside. That makes him sad. Zelko is a very small Husky looking dog with a Shiba body. He only weighs about 30 lbs. We think he was an inside dog because he rushes to the house everytime he can. He appears to get along with other dogs but loves his humans. He stands tall on his back feet for attention. He does not try to dig out of his outdoor kennel area nor does he try to climb. Amy
Dog :: Pomeranian

Amy is an active little girl, who needs leash training and she tends to be a bit of a “princess” and long walks are just not her thing. If I was to rename her, it would be “Paris”, yes, as in Hilton! She will stick to your side like Velcro. She is a good eater, but needs to be taught to slow down as she can eat too fast and gets herself sick. She is a “talker”, so she’ll need to be taught how to use her “inside” voice and alerting the neighbors each time she goes outside. She is quite a “cheerleader”. Otherwise, she does well in a crate and lets you know when she needs to potty. She rides well in vehicles and just loves being with her “guardian” person. Considering she was crated most of her life, she needs lots of socialization to experience life and what it has to offer.

Vinnie
Dog :: German Shepard

Vinnie is 2-years old, very sweet, likes kids and other dogs. He can be defensive at first with other dogs but he will play with them. He will not chase the cats in the house but if there are cats outside, he will chase them with perhaps not the best intention. The best home would be slower paced home so he could put some weight on. Currently he and his Shepherd friend run all day along the fence line and are both very thin even with LOTS of food. He was born with a bad hip the ball was not in a socket, but it does not seem to bother him. The only thing he cannot do is jump. His hip could be fixed but it would only be for looks, so a decision was made not to put him through it. If you would like to meet Vinnie, complete your EAPL application!

Sugar
Dog :: Purebred Black Cocker

Sugar is a very special little 8 yr old black cocker, she lived in a very bad situation and had severe ear infections, and because of this, she is now deaf. She is feeling great now, and really looking forward to finding her forever home with a family that will be patient and help her understand her new world. Mikey

Rico
Dog :: Beagle/Chihuahua (Cheagle)

Rico is a 6 year old Beagle/Chihuahua (Cheagle)Neutered male about 18#s. If you’ve always wanted a lab but just don’t have room for a big dog, Rico is the perfect dog for you. He looks and acts just like a black lab but he weighs less than 20 pounds. Rico is smart, fun and friendly. He likes to go for a walk and loves to ride in the car. He gets along well with other dogs and all people, large and small. Although Rico loves to be with his people, he does need a fenced yard since he likes to spend time outside. Rico would love to be a treasured family member.

Diego
Dog :: Chihuahua

Diego is an 8-year old male 6# Chihuahua. He was scared to death of people when he first got to EAPL. He was captured as a stray and had clearly been a stray long enough to miss many meals. Now that he is comfortable, he is very loveable and spends most of his time snuggling with his foster mom. Diego is very mellow. He is just a sweet middle-aged gent looking for a safe place to retire. He does great at housebreaking. Diego only has about six teeth left but he never misses a bite because of it. Crush
Dog :: Chihuahua

Crush is a 6-year old, 9#, male Chihuahua. Crush is very affectionate but needs to be in a home without children since they make him very nervous and he can be unpredictable around them. He is in good health and loves to go for a walk but is very mellow when he's at home. He does well with housebreaking. Gets along well with the other small dogs but picks on Richard and is way too bossy with big dogs. He would do well as an only dog or a companion for another small dog but should not be in a home with big dogs.

Meatball
Dog :: English Bulldog

Meatball is well named, he is a rolly polly guy who needs to be adopted by a experienced Bulldog person. Meaball is a 4 year old English Bulldog, neutered, weighs 75 lbs and needs to be an only. If this is your breed preference, he's the dog for you!

Mc Kinley
Dog :: Malamute

McKinly is an 8 year old, neutered male, Malamute who weighs 65 lbs and is very handsome. We are suggesting that he be an only dog and no small children. McKinley has had his ups and downs due to being with folks who were not very dog savvy. A child grabbed his ear when he was sleeping and he was startled. No damage done but he was given back. He is a sweet guy who needs a loving home.

Pepper
Dog :: Boxer mix

Pepper is a 2 1/2 year old, spayed female Boxer mix who weighs 45 lbs. She is a very energetic girl who likes to run, so she will need a higher fence, or go running with you. She knows her commands but like many females doesn't always feel inclined to follow them. She is a cute little dog and would enjoy the company of another in her new home.

Raleigh
Dog :: Italian Grayhound/Chihuahua

Raleigh is approximately 1 year old spayed and weighs 10#s she does not have any white on her. They are very small, but solid packed little girls! They were found under a basket in a gas station parking lot at 8 weeks of age (or so the vet guessed). Animal control was called and because of their age and doubtful vaccines they asked, if a rescue organization would take them. Unfortunately, this rescue agency has surrendered their license and asked EAPL to assist in placing these wonderful little girls (complete an EAPL adoption application). Raleigh is slightly larger and the quieter and more shy one of the two, with slightly longer hair. Raleigh is not aggressive and gets along great with other dogs. We do not know about cats or children, as their current foster home does not have any in their environment.

Memphis

Snowy
Dog :: Toy Poodle

Meet little Snowy. She is a 5 year old, 7 lb, full of life Toy Poodle that needs a second chance. She would like to be put on a good diet and get some exercise. She is fine with other dogs, doesn't bark and is house trained. She loves to be next to her human friends or will find a soft place to cuddle. We don't want to place her with large dogs that might knock her over or very small children that will stretch her joints.

Frankie
Dog :: Shih Tzu/mix

Hi, I'm Frankie. They say I'm approximately 6 years old but a real man never gives his true age so I'll take this secret to the grave. I am a neutered shih tzu mix male and boy do I love to chill. My favorite past times include chewing on bones, eating and relaxing. I love to lay around all day on pillows, chairs, the floor...wherever! My tongue seems to be too long for my mouth and is always out. I am loving but independent. I will cuddle with you and would especially love to sleep in your bed with you at night, but don't expect me to sit in your lap all evening while you watch TV. I don't like to get too hot so I please don't get your feelings hurt if I just want to sleep spread eagle on my back on the floor somewhere close. All in all, I am a very good boy. I am potty trained and I don't bark with the changing of the wind like some dogs. I do, however, like to howl at the moon. If you're lucky, I will crack you up as you wonder if you have just adopted a coyote (don't worry, I really am a shih tzu but I have this talent for howling - how cute am I?) One thing of note, I do have a penchant for wandering and I am a bit of an escape artist so please secure and double-check your fences before letting me out in the yard. I'm just curious about the world, you see, but my curiosity far exceeds my intelligence and I could wind up in a bad situation if you don't watch out for me! I am not too quick or energetic so if you are looking for a dog to run around and catch frisbees with, that would not be me. However, if you want to take a lesson in how to pull the plug from the everyday hustle bustle, hang out with me for a few hours. I have a feeling I can teach you a thing or two about relaxing. Frankie does have Epilepsy and will be required to take a daily medication. Since starting his medication he has not had a seizure.

Nellie
Dog :: Boxer/Lab

Nellie is a 2 year old, 60 lb. Boxer/Lab mix who was in a shelter and she now has separation anxiety. With behaviorial training, this girl will be a wonderful pet. For now, she needs someone who is home most of the time. Ideally, she will be adopted by someone with another dog as she loves dogs and needs a playmate. Nellie is good with children. She is spayed and housebroken. Won't you give Nellie a chance?

Luci
Dog :: Rotti Mix

This is Luci, she is a Rottie mix. Luci is 3 years old, spayed and housetrained. She is small and looks like a Miniature Rottie. Luci loves adults, kids and other dogs. She is a dominate dog so she should not go to another home with a female dominate dog.

Trixie
Dog :: American Bull Dog

This is Trixie, she is a 2-year old American Bulldog. She is spayed, housetrained and good with other dogs. Although she is good with other dogs she needs to be introduced to them one at a time or she is overwhelmed. Trixie is a friendly dog and likes to play. She is looking forward to meeting you soon.

Ralphie
Dog :: Terrier mix, maybe Border or Cairn

This is Ralphie. He is a Border Terrier/Cairn Terrier mix. He is house trained, well behaved, a neutered male weighing about 20 lbs. He is current on shots and plays well with other dogs. The owners were ready to take him to a shelter when an EAPL volunteer rescued him. Ralphie is a taller standing terrier and is brindle in color. He has a distinctive under bite and is so ugly he is cute! Ralphie went from a family to nothing and would like to have his own home again. He rides well in the car.

Stitches
Dog :: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix

Stitches is a 2 year old neutered male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix who weighs 20 lbs. He is housetrained, walks nicely on a leash and loves to go in the car. Stitches needs a home with children over 10 years of age. He loves to play and chase his foster dog friends so he would do best in a home with another playful dog.

Lily
Dog :: Chihuahua

Lily is a great little girl who was found stray so her new home will definitely need to have a securely fenced area. She gets along great with other small dogs but isn't crazy about the big dog in her foster home. She is perfectly housebroken and leash trained. Lily seems to be a bit nervous around quick movement so a home with no small children would be best. She is about 3 years old, weighs about 7 pounds and is spayed.

Milly
Dog :: Rat Terrier/Dach/Chi

Milly is a Rat Terrier/Dach/Chi mix and is about 3 years old. She is a real cuddle muffin and loves to curl up under the covers with you. She is a little shy at first, but will love you in no time at all. She gets along with all her other doggie playmates but likes to chase cats. Milly gets along with children but might need a little time to adjust. Her Foster Mommy's nephew's became best friends after about an hour, yup that's all it took. She used to be scared of men, but now she's her foster daddy's little girl. Milly is potty trained, spayed and has all but her rabies shots. She's all ready for her new forever home.

Shabu
Dog :: Jindo

I am a Shiba Inu mix,Jindo,Fox or something else weighing about 35 lbs, 5-6 yrs old, very cat like and loyal to my owners but sorry no kids. I need to be with submissive dogs, small or large, preferably female and no cats. I prey on small animals such as squirrels and rabbits. My foster mom has 2 small Poodles that sleep with me and we keep the house neat and clean until she gets home. If you leave me alone, I need another dog as a companion because I can't be crated. I love to go on walks or runs, do most anything for treats, know commands but I am unsure of new people. Because I am savvy, you need to be. My foster mom has 2 Akitas that do not like me, I need to go. Can someone help?

Pinkaboo

Pinkaboo is just adorable and she knows it! She is about 6 months old. She loves to cuddle and give kisses and to gaze at you while you pet her and give her belly rubs. Pinkaboo is friendly with everyone she meets, she loves to play with her toys, and she is a very calm and mellow puppy. She just loves being with her people and she is eager to become the newest member of a family in a good, loving home.

Blimey

Hi my name is Blimey and I am just as adorable as my sister Pinkaboo! I am about 6 months old. I am a very mellow and quite girl. I like lots of toys (as any girl does). I am a cuddler and I very much enjoy belly rubs. I am friendly with everyone I meet. I very much enjoy my people and I want to become a member of a wonderful loving family.

Smooch

SMOOCH is a very loving little girl but changes in her life have left her without a home. She's hoping to find somebody that would take her for lots of walks and help her lose a bit of the weight that sedentary life has put on her. SMOOCH is fine around children but she would actually prefer a home without a bunch of activity. She's much more the quiet type. She does love to walk and although she needs a safe place to go outdoors, she prefers to spend most of her time inside near her people. SMOOCH is about 7 years old and weighs about 10 pounds.

She is one lucky little girl. She was hit by a car and was scheduled to be euthanized at a local shelter when the FRAN fund decided she was worth saving. Boy were we right. She is sweet as pie!!! She fractured her back and is currently on the road to recovery. We think she is between 1-2 years of age and great with other dogs. We are looking for a quiet home with older children and no rambunctious playmates. (due to her injury) Could you be her forever home?

Her breed is known as a Chug. A Chihuahua/Pug mix. Her name says it all because she can be quite the Princess. She is a very lucky girl though. She was hit by a car and was going to be euthanized when the FRAN Fund took her and fixed her fractured pelvis. We think she is between 2-3 years of age, is good with other dogs, but can be shy at first until she gets to know you. We are looking for a home that understands the Chihuahua attitude, (because she has one) has a lap for her to spend her days on, and is good with dogs who can not be pilled easily. She will be going to a home with NO children and no rambunctious playmates(due to her injury).

Dog :: Miniature Pinscher

Stevie and Pixie are Min Pins that need to be adopted together. They are between 3-5 years old, neutered and weigh 5 and 7 lbs. These two were picked up as strays then rescued from a shelter. They have had a rough time and are each other's stability. They would be OK with older, gentle children. Pixie sometimes growls at strange dogs, but both LOVE their human caretakers.
