EAPL is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to providing aid to lost, abandoned, and suffering animals through rescue, shelter, and education. Since our inception in April, 1981, we have provided a better life for thousands of animals.
We have no paid employees and are not supported by taxes. Most animals in our care live in foster homes until adopted. We must raise funds to operate, and we depend on the generosity of our community for support.
You can help the EAPL by visiting our Donations page. Please Donate Now!
Our primary needs are phone volunteers, foster homes, cat room volunteers, and financial contributions. Please contact us if you can help!
There are many cats, kittens, dogs, and other animals waiting to be adopted today. You can read all about their stories and see their pictures on the Cats & Kittens Available, Dogs Available, and Other Animals pages in this web site. Our main goal is to find loving, safe homes for these pets. Why not adopt a loyal companion today?!
Would you like to ADOPT A CAT OR KITTEN?
Would you like to ADOPT A DOG OR OTHER ANIMAL?

Are you interested in volunteering as a foster home?
Fostering for the Evergreen League can be a fun and rewarding experience. Foster
homes are truly a necessity for the Evergreen League. Since we don’t have a
shelter, foster homes can make the difference between life and death for an
animal in need.
We recently asked our foster people what their favorite thing is about fostering and if they have a favorite foster pet. Here are some of their answers:

I am blessed to take care of older dogs with medical needs. Older dogs only
ask to be let out occasionally, for two meals a day, for a place on the rug
(under your feet) and to be petted ever so often. In return, they will give
you undying love, loyalty and affection. Older dogs get along with everybody
(including cats) and simply want to be part of a community of pets.
Favorite is not a word I would use. But I feel close to a large German Shepherd named "Max" who is currently in remission from Lymphoma. Max and I travel to the flat lands monthly for his chemotherapy and have bonded as he is picked up from the hospital and returned "home."
