Answer the EAPL main phone number for a day from the comfort of your own home.
We connect the phone into your home line. You decide which day or days during
the month that you would like to answer. You can select a different day or days
each month based on your schedule. The commitment is from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.
We also have half-day shifts avail 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
We ask that you arrange your schedule to stay home on the day you have chosen.
We have a very comprehensive training book to guide you and we have many volunteers
that are just a call away to assist you!
Cat Room Volunteers

Set-Up/Working Pet Adoption Events
We can always use additional help setting up and breaking down our adoption events. We set-up approximately 15 minutes before the event. All of our upcoming events are listed on our website. During the events, we need people to walk, handle/show our pets, manage the viewing of the puppies, pen clean up, etc.
Working/Coordinating/Fundraising for Events
EAPL has several fundraising events throughout the year. Do you enjoy event coordination? Working on committees? Thinking outside the box to put together a fun community event? We need YOU!
Fundraising
Do you enjoy securing sponsors for events or perhaps visiting local merchants to solicit donations for event raffles? We have the perfect opportunity for YOU!
Setting Up Displays
Do you love setting up "window" or "minuet" displays? For some of our events, we have a ton of merchandise that we need to set-up to encourage attendees to bid. Does this sound like something that you would enjoy doing?
Writing Articles
We need short-story writers to submit stories for local publications.
Grant Writer
Do you enjoy researching and completing grant applications? We need YOU!
Animal Emergency Team
Our team sets up a temporary shelter at a local Red Cross shelter to care for the pets belonging to people who are staying at the shelter because they have been evacuated from their home due to a disaster such as fire. For more information please call the Team Coordinator, Suzie, at 303 674 4121.
Computer Skills
Do you have "mad" computer skills? Graphic Designer background? Maybe you are a creative poster creator? We always need help scanning, data entry etc. Let us know what you have experience doing and we may have a spot for you!
Education
Animal/Pet Education programs are available to present to elementary schools and scout troops. We need volunteers on a continuing basis to help keep these programs active. Do you like creating new educational programs for children? We have a lot of programs, ideas and we are just waiting for you to join this team.
